Brooke Hogan, the daughter of Hulk Hogan, revealed why she asked to be taken off the will of the late wrestling legend.

In a phone interview on the Bubba the Love Sponge podcast on Aug. 6, Brooke recalled telling Hulk's ex-best friend she got "scared" of the fighting that would come after her dad died.

That prompted her to get out of the picture.

“I was sobbing,” Brooke said, adding that she had texted Hulk's assistant to have her name removed from his will.

“I just said, take me off everything, I don’t want to be a part of it," she said.

She pointed out that she wanted to avoid conflict regarding finances with her mother, Linda Hogan, and Hulk's third wife, Sky Daily, whom he was married to until his death.

“And then I thought if I get left any money or Nick gets left any money, then, no offense, my mom has been known to find herself in the mix with things like that,” Brooke said, referring to her younger brother.

“And I’m like, I don’t want to fight Linda, I don’t want to fight Scientology. It scared me. And I just said, I want out," she said, referring to the controversial religious movement.

Brooke pointed out that "money didn't matter" to her anymore after becoming pregnant with her twins, whom she gave birth to last January.

Hulk, born Terry Gene Bollea, died on July 24 at 71 years old. He was pronounced dead at a Florida hospital after emergency personnel responded to a cardiac arrest call at his home in Clearwater, police said.

He suffered numerous health problems, stemming from the years of abuse his body took in the ring. In the 1990s, he admitted under oath that he had used anabolic steroids at the peak of his career.

The professional wrestler helped propel the low-budget spectacle into the global spotlight and parlayed his prowess in the ring into pop culture stardom. He became known for his towering 6'7" (two-meter) physique, bandana, and blonde handlebar mustache.

Hogan's wrestling skills and magnetic personality as a heroic all-American in the ring transformed the sport into mainstream family entertainment, attracting millions of viewers and turning the league into a multi-billion-dollar empire. (with reports from AFP)
