Barbie Hsu’s husband DJ Koo reportedly visits her grave almost everyday
The late Barbie Hsu's husband, DJ Koo, has been spotted at her grave almost every day since her passing.
Taiwanese locals have repeatedly seen the South Korean singer and DJ, whose real name is Koo Jun-young, at Chin Pao San Cemetery, where the Meteor Garden star is buried.
In the photos shared on social media, Koo was seen sitting alone beside his wife's grave. A social media user who was visiting Hsu's resting place at the time narrated his brief interaction with Koo.
"I took a group to Jinbaoshan Cemetery to lay flowers for Barbie Hsu. I saw a man sitting alone in the center of the graveyard. As I approached, I realized it was Koo Jun-yup. He politely thanked us," a Threads user wrote, as translated by The Korea Times.
“It was heartbreaking to see him. I can’t imagine the pain of losing a lifelong love so suddenly. He is the kindest man I’ve ever seen.”
Another Threads user replied to the post, claiming, "My dad's grave is right next to hers," another responded. "I'm not exaggerating when I say that every time I went to pay respects to my dad, I saw DJ Koo sitting there (it even rained heavily a few times)."
Other social media users also noted his tanned skin, presumably from spending time outdoors visiting Hsu's grave.
Hsu succumbed to pneumonia in February after contracting influenza during a Lunar New Year celebration in Japan. She was 48.
Koo expressed on Feb. 6 how he's in "a state of indescribable sadness and pain" following her death.
“I am currently in a state of indescribable sadness and pain, with a heart as if being cut by a knife, and my insides are torn apart. I have no strength to speak, nor do I want to speak,” he wrote at the time. She was laid to rest a month after her death.
Hsu and Koo registered their marriage in South Korea on Feb. 8, 2022, and later in Taiwan on Mar. 28, 2022.
The couple first dated in 1998 but later separated. In 2010, the Meteor Garden star married Chinese entrepreneur Wang Xiaofei, whom she later divorced after being married for 10 years.
She rose to fame in Meteor Garden, starring alongside the boy group F4 comprising Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, Ken Chu, and Vic Chou.
She also appeared in the television series Mars (2004), Corner with Love (2007), and Summer's Desire (2010).
