Prince Harry shut down claims that he and his uncle Prince Andrew got into a physical altercation over the latter's comments on the Duke of Sussex's relationship with wife Meghan Markle.

"I can confirm neither of those things are true," a spokesperson for Prince Harry told PEOPLE Magazine. "Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make those comments about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry.

A book titled Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York claimed that the two got into a "heated argument" in 2013 at a family gathering. The altercation left Andrew supposedly with a bloody nose after he allegedly called Meghan an "opportunist" and said that their marriage would not last.

The biography, written by Andrew Lownie, looks into the life of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. According to its description, the book follows the royal's trajectory from a celebrated naval officer to his downfall from his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Andrew and Epstein were accused of sexual abuse and sex trafficking by Virginia Giuffre, which the prince denied in 2019. Giuffre died by suicide in April.

Additionally, Prince William was also mentioned, with the author claiming he was trying to push Prince Andrew out of Royal Lodge, the Windsor estate where the latter lives.

Kensington Palace declined to comment to PEOPLE, while Buckingham Palace has yet to respond.

Hopes for reconciliation

In May, Prince Harry said that he wanted to reconcile with Britain's royal family. He quit royal duties in 2020 and relocated to California, where he lives with Markle and their two young children.

The prince released a book, titled Spare, in 2023 which mostly focused on his relationship with his brother Prince William and father King Charles III

"Some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book. Of course, they will never forgive me for lots of things. But... I would love for reconciliation,' Harry said to the BBC in May.
