Fresh off the Eastbourne Open where she finished first runner-up, Alex Eala is next set to compete at Wimbledon 2025.

The 20-year-old Filipina, now the world's no. 56, is set to face reigning champion Barbora Krejcikova in the first round.

"It's such a privilege," Eala said as per Olympics.com. "That is the court to be on. My favorite Slam is Wimbledon, and when I dreamed of the big dreams when I was younger, it was on that court. I'm living the dream."

On Instagram, the Pinay tennis phenom shared that she's bringing a piece of the Philippines to the Centre Court through a sampaguita hair tie from Nike.

"Ang sampaguita ay paalala ng aking pinanggalingan at ng kulturang lagi kong dala-dala," she captioned.

"Kung may tinanim, may aanihin."

Eala fell short from winning the Eastbourne open after Australian teenager Maya Joint clinched the title. She still made history as the first player from the Philippines to reach a WTA Tour final.

The Pinay called it one of the "toughest" losses of her early career. "But I believe that it's these moments that make you stronger and shape your character."

Her opponent, Krejcikova, reached the quarter-finals at Eastbourne but withdrew with a thigh injury on June 26.

The first round of Wimbledon 2025 is set to take place from June 30 to July 1, with round two following on July 2 to 3, round three on July 4 to 5, round four/round of 16 on July 6 to 7, the quarter finals on July 8 to 9, the semi-finals on July 10, and the finals on July 12.
