Luis Manzano to return as ‘Kapamilya Deal or No Deal’ host

Banker is calling: Kapamilya Deal or No Deal is making its highly anticipated return!

After a 10-year break, the classic ABS-CBN game show made its television comeback on Monday, July 28, with throwback episodes.

However, new episodes have been promised to fans, with Luis Manzano confirmed as the host.

In a teaser video, Manzano is seen taking a call from a person on the other line, whom he called "Banker."

“Eto na!!!! Nagbabalik ang Kapamilya Deal or No Deal??? New episodes coming soon,” Manzano, who hosted the program from 2012 to 2016, said on Instagram.

ABS-CBN first launched the Philippine version of the Deal or No Deal franchise in 2006, with Kris Aquino as its inaugural host.

The show concluded after three years when Aquino moved on to other projects.

In 2012, the Kapamilya network revived the game show with Manzano as its host for four years.

While details about this latest revival are still under wraps, you can catch old episodes airing at 5:45 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and ALLTV.

In the British game show Deal or No Deal, contestants aim to win cash by choosing one of 26 briefcases. These cases, presented by "26K girls," hold varying amounts of money, from P1 to P1 million.
