Dr. Edsel Salvana is an internationally recognized infectious diseases specialist and molecular biologist at the University of the Philippines and the Philippine General Hospital. He is the director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at the National Institutes of Health at UP Manila. He has spoken and written extensively on the COVID-19 outbreak and serves on the Technical Advisory Group of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.
