Mark Alden Arcenal, also known by his byline Alden Arsèn ,is a licensed professional teacher with years of experience in technical and creative writing, research and data analytics. He released his debut chapbook “Walay Bayot Sa Langit” in January 2025 with over 1000 copies sold nationwide. He has been a fellow to, and is now a member of, the BATHALAD Creative Writing Workshop (2024) and the Sunday Club National Writers Workshop (2023). He received the Don Vicente Rama Memorial Literary Prize for Short Story and the Omar Khalid Literary Award in 2023. His works can and will be read in various periodicals such as the Philippine Graphic Reader, TLDTD, Dagmay, Sunstar, Katitikan Journal, Mountain Beacon, Bisaya Magazine, and Canada’s Queen’s Quarterly.
