Maris Racal hospitalized after appendicitis, now in recovery: 'Rarampa muli'
Maris Racal revealed that she was rushed to the hospital after suffering from an appendicitis attack, but assured fans that she is now in safe condition.
On her Instagram account, the actress shared pictures of herself resting in bed in a hospital gown after appearing to have undergone surgery to remove her appendix.
She was also visited by her loved ones, who sent her get-well messages and some flower boquets.
"Congrats, it’s an appendix!" she humored in the caption. "Thanks to everyone who sent their love, my cool surgeon and doctors, nurses, and hospital staff for taking very good care of of me."
"Special shoutout to my little sister for looking after me on her birthday," she added.
Racal went on to reassure her followers that she is now on the road to recovery, "Rarampa muli."
According to Mayo Clinic, appendicites is an inflammation of the appendix organ and causes pain in the lower right part of the belly that continuously increases as the inflammation worsens.
Although anyone can develop appendicitis, most often it happens in people between the ages of 10 and 30.
The inflammation is treated by having surgery to remove the appendix.
