Renée Victor, the voice actress of Abuelita in the 2017 animated film Coco, has died. She was 86.

Victor died of lymphoma and was "surrounded by her family" at her home in Sherman Oaks, California, her agency told Deadline.

In a statement, Raquel Victor and Margo Victor, the daughters of the actress, honored their mother's work in the entertainment industry.

"Renée was loved by so many [and] had fans all over the world. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her," the statement read.

Pixar also penned a tribute to the late actress, writing, "We are heartbroken to hear of the passing of Renée Victor, voice of Abuelita in Coco and an incredible part of the Pixar family. We will always remember you."

Born in San Antonio, Texas, on July 25, 1938, Victor was also known for her role in the landmark Showtime series Weeds.

The multi-lingual actress lent her voice to roles like Helena in Ingmar Bergman's Oscar-winning film Fanny and Alexander, Ginger in Federico Fellini's Ginger and Fred, and multiple characters in the award-winning animated video game Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls.

She also bagged the Best Actress Award at the Napa Valley Film Festival for her title role in the indie film Libertad.

Victor "enjoys movies, theater, museums, poetry, especially Pablo Neruda, Sor Juana Inez de la Cruz & Michael Hannon." She also loves "music, travel and cooking for small intimate gatherings with friends and family and in the company of daughters Margo and Raquel."

In Coco, she voiced protagonist Miguel's Abuelita Elena, who was protective of her family and continued to ban music in their home. Her grandmother, Imelda, banished the art form after Elena's grandfather, Hector, left to pursue a music career.

Rest in Peace, Renée Victor.
