Diana Mackey and Kiefer Ravena say they lost their baby weeks after pregnancy announcement
Diana Mackey and Kiefer Ravena opened up about losing their baby weeks after announcing their pregnancy in March.
During their appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the beauty queen revealed that she suffered a miscarriage.
"We lost the baby, unfortunately, at seven weeks," she said.
The basketball player, meanwhile, noted that everything is according to "God's plan," and what matters is his wife is "healthy."
"With God's grace, we could try again and see where it takes us," he said. "Life goes on."
Mackey and Ravena became Instagram official in October 2024, following months of romance rumors.
On Oct. 31 of that year, Ravena posted a carousel in which the last entry showed Mackey wearing an engagement ring. On Nov. 5, he shared a video of himself popping the question in Tokyo.
Before getting married on June 11 at the St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, the couple on March 18 announced that they were expecting their firstborn.
“MARCHing together in this beautiful journey with @dianacmackey. You are amazing and you are destined to be a Super Mommy,” Ravena said in an Instagram post of him hugging her then-fiancée, who held a pair of baby sneakers and a printout of a sonogram.
“We can’t wait to see you Litol One,” he added.
But speculations later arose online, with social media users saying that Mackey didn't seem to have a baby bump in their wedding photos.
Ravena is a professional basketball player who rose to fame during his college days as part of the Ateneo Blue Eagles of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. He's now playing for the Yokohama B-Corsairs of the B. League in Japan.
Mackey is a former housemate of the reality television show Pinoy Big Brother: Otso in 2018. She joined Binibining Pilipinas in 2022, where she finished as a Top 12 finalist.
