Matet De Leon’s live-selling session took an unexpected turn after the actress read an insensitive comment from a viewer that left her in tears.

During the livestream on her TikTok account, De Leon was busy selling canned goods and dairy products to her followers when she became visibly emotional out of the blue and began wiping her tears away with her shirt.

Her husband then tried to tell her to pause and take a break, but De Leon persisted with the livestream as many of her viewers tried to come to her defense and offer words of support her against the malicious comments.

Despite trying to ignore the issue, the actress couldn't help but react, "Hindi ko alam kung bakit may mga taong naliligayahan sa sarili nila kapag nagcocomment ng ganun."

"Patay nanay ko. Patay! Wala nanay ko, gaganyanin niyo ako," she said.

The exact comment that brought De Leon to tears remains unknown, but social media users have pointed to an insult concerning her mother Nora Aunor's death.

De Leon later addressed the incident in a recent video on her TikTok, where she said she didn't cry because she was embarrassed to do a live-selling session.

"Proud na proud na proud ako maging live-seller ng TikTok ng mga brands na pinaniniwalaan ko. At sobrang saya ko din mag-live. Okay? Na kahit may pinagdadaanan, nag la-live ako. I show up," she explained.

"Kaya ako na-bad trip kahapon was because of that one person na walang puso at napakawalang hiya. Okay? Pero 'yung pag la-live sell, I love it," she continued.

The local star went on to express her gratitude at those who continously show support towards her whenever she goes live.

"Masasabi ko lang dun sa mga talagang gusto lang mamikon, sa taong nagtatrabaho lang ng maayos at ginagawa 'yung gustong-gusto niya, eh wala, babawasan ko na 'yung pagbabasa ng comments," De Leon said.

"Thank you everybody sa mga sumusuporta," she added.

Aunor passed away in April earlier this year due to acute respiratory failure.
