It was a rainy Friday night on Aug. 16, but nothing could stop Filipino EXO-Ls from flocking to the SM Mall of Asia Arena for a historic night: Doh Kyungsoo—better known as D.O. of K-pop supergroup EXO—held his first full-scale solo concert in Manila.

The arena glowed like a sea of white, with fans donning white outfits and cybershades as they welcomed the singer-actor onstage. Despite his initial worry that the weather might keep fans away, D.O. himself was touched to see the venue filled with energy, telling the crowd, “Philippines is the best!”

A new era with Bliss

This concert marks a milestone in D.O.’s career as he embarks on a world tour featuring his first full-length solo album, Bliss. Known for his soothing yet powerful vocals, D.O. said he created the album with the hope that listeners would find “courage and warmth” in his songs.

D.O. performs tracks from his first full-length solo album Bliss.

Beyond music, D.O. is a multitalented artist who has also made a name for himself as an acclaimed actor in films and K-dramas such as My Annoying Brother and 100 Days My Prince. His dual success in both music and acting has cemented him as one of the most versatile stars in the Korean entertainment industry.

Bliss showcases the same versatility—balancing upbeat tracks with soulful ballads—and the Manila concert reflected that. The first set leaned on livelier numbers, while the second half highlighted his ballads and deeper emotional pieces.

Music that hits home

D.O. opened the show with Do You Remember, a nostalgic track about longing for carefree childhood days, setting the tone for a night both intimate and uplifting. Backed by a live band, he brought new texture to his songs and even to some familiar EXO favorites.

A total entertainer, D.O. charms the crowd with his relaxed stage presence.

For many fans, hearing Mars live was a standout moment. The song’s theme of love and longing, paired with D.O.’s smooth delivery, filled the arena with quiet awe. At one point, he playfully led the audience in singing Popcorn together, proving his easygoing, relaxed presence on stage.

The emotional peak came with ballads like It’s Love and My Dear. One highlight had him hoisted up against a moonlit backdrop, serenading the crowd in a scene that felt almost cinematic. He later performed That’s Okay, which he described as his personal letter to EXO-Ls—reminding them to stay strong and to take care of themselves.

Before the encore, when he teased that the concert was ending, fans chanted “Walang uuwi!” (“No one’s going home!”), to which he playfully responded, copying their words with a smile. He then dedicated In Another Life, a heartfelt promise of connection that transcends time and circumstance.

Fans and artist in perfect sync

The night wasn’t just about the music—it was about the exchange of love between artist and fans. During the fan project segment, D.O. saw the glowing LED message “We can DOH it all with Kyungsoo” and watched a tribute video prepared by EXO-Ls. Clearly touched, he took photos with the crowd and promised, once again, to return.

D.O. showcases his versatility through both upbeat songs and heartfelt ballads.

“Whenever I sing, I feel your energy,” he told fans. “I want to continue making songs that can bring meaning to you.”

More than a concert, a connection

Chill, soulful, and full of heart—that’s what D.O.’s first Manila concert was all about. More than just a showcase of his music, it was a night that highlighted his artistry, sincerity, and the special connection he shares with fans.

D.O. is amazed by the LED fan project from EXO-Ls.

If Bliss is D.O.’s love letter in album form, then this concert was the live version—proof that whether rain or shine, the bond between him and EXO-Ls remains unshakable.
