Vanness Wu pays tribute to 'Meteor Garden' co-star Barbie Hsu: 'Big Love'
Another F4 member paid tribute to Barbie Hsu.
Meteor Garden star Vanness Wu, who played Mei Zuo, took to Instagram to share his love for the late actress on Jan. 7.
He shared a graphic of the Barbie's name, sporting the Barbie doll font, with a black background.
"Big Smile, Big Heart, Big Laugh, Big Love... Big S," he wrote.
"Thank you all for your kindness throughout the years, especially from when we first met... Miss you dearly Barbie. Rest in Love."
Hsu passed away at the age of 48 on Feb. 3 due to influenza-induced pneumonia. Her sister, talk show host Dee Hsu, confirmed the news through her agent.
Other cast members of Meteor Garden honored Hsu with their own posts on social media.
Jerry Yan, who played Dao Ming Si to Hsu's Shancai, shared a poetic, heartfelt message on Weibo.
“Thank you for meeting you. In your carefree childlike years. You often say that every day is the last day. Live to the fullest. I hope you walk slowly this time. From then on, in another world, there is no trouble, and the years are quiet," he wrote.
Meanwhile, Ken Chu, who starred as Xi Men, remembered the actress by sharing a throwback photo of the drama's cast.
The late actress' husband, South Korean singer and DJ Koo Jun-yup, said on Feb. 6 that he is in a "state of indescribable sadness and pain" after losing Hsu.
He also took a swipe at individuals tarnishing the image of their family.
He also said Hsu's wealth, estimated at 1.7 billion new Taiwan dollars (P1.76 billion), was earned for her family through hard work and dedication.
"Therefore, I have decided to hand over my share entirely to my mother-in-law,” he said.
He also vowed to keep "wicked" people away from Hsu's children, aged 8 and 10.
