Pop star Katy Perry and actor Orlando Bloom have reportedly broken up after nine years.

According to US Weekly, Perry and Bloom, who got engaged in 2019, have gone their separate ways but are "amicable."

“It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is, of course, upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life,” the source said.

TMZ first reported the alleged breakup on June 24. Citing anonymous sources, the celebrity news website said Bloom is about to debut as a single man in the wedding festivities of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and media personality Lauren Sanchez in Venice in Italy.

True enough, Bloom was spotted alone in the three-day event, which includes a rehearsal dinner, the ceremony itself, and a yacht party celebration.

Perry was reportedly absent as she's in the middle of her world tour.

Bloom and Perry have yet to confirm their reported breakup.

The pair met at an afterparty of the Golden Globe Awards in January 2016.

In an episode of American Idol, Perry recalled meeting Bloom as they argued over a burger.

"I had my security guard grab 10 In-N-Outs and all of a sudden I see my boyfriend's hand—he wasn't even sitting at our table—he just swoops in and he grabs it and I was like, 'Hey that's my burger,'" she said.

In May of that year, Perry and Bloom made their relationship Instagram official as they attended the Cannes Film Festival together.

They announced their breakup in February 2017, but noted that they're still friends.

In an interview with Elle Magazine in April of that year, Bloom, despite not mentioning Perry's name, reflected on their breakup at the time.

"We're all grown up," he said. "She happens to be someone who is very visible, but I don't think anybody cares about what I'm up to. Nor should they. It's between us. It's better to set an example for kids and show that [breakups] don't have to be about hate."

In February 2018, People, citing a source, reported that Perry and Bloom were spending time together in Prague, though "not necessarily putting a label on it."

In September of that year, Perry and Bloom attended the red carpet of the Gala for the Global Ocean in Monaco.

On Valentine's Day 2019, Bloom popped the question, with a source telling People that he even sought the blessing of Perry's parents beforehand.

On March 5, 2020, Perry announced her pregnancy through the music video of her song Never Worn White, which featured her baby bump. They welcomed their baby in August. (Bloom also had a 14-year-old son with ex-wife, model Miranda Kerr.)

Perry and Bloom were supposed to get married in Japan during the summer of that year, but had to postpone it due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
