Pancho Magno shares he's able to talk about relationships with ex-wife Max Collins
Pancho Magno shared that he and ex-wife Max Collins are able to talk about their relationships after their split.
In an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Magno was asked about how they handled the topic, as Collins sparked dating rumors when she was seen with another man while on a trip to Bohol in June.
"Hindi siya gano’n kadali. "Kasi sobra ‘yung respect and love, lalo na meron kaming son together, sobrang special [ang relasyon namin]. So it goes beyond the pride, [ego], forgiveness nga," he said.
Magno added that he wants their son to see that his mom and dad are friends.
The actor also revealed that he wasn't seeing anyone at the moment.
"I wish. Pero wala pa," he said.
Meanwhile, Magno said that he still had love for Collins, but as a friend.
"We're both Christians. ‘Yung foundation namin, ‘yung love and respect, kahit sabihin mo nang may mga arguments and all," he said. "'Yung love na 'yun, 'yung friendship namin."
"We're okay. [We're] friends, best friends. We started naman as best friends and gusto ko 'yung journey na 'yon, huwag mawala."
Host Boy Abunda continued to press him to answer whether there was still romantic feelings.
"Being best friends, we really try maging close pa rin. Gusto ko 'pag magkasama kami... [We're] best friends," Magno said.
Co-parenting with Collins
The former pair has a co-parenting set-up for their child Skye, who recently turned 5.
'Yung co-parenting namin, I won't say it's perfect, but we're trying every day. Kasi ‘yung love and respect naman never mawawala ‘yon."
As Skye grows older, Magno revealed that he's naturally started asking questions about his parents' living situation. Even so, the actor makes sure that his child will understand it "gradually."
"Sabi nga niya, 'If you can put your house on top of mommy's house. He's very smart. Sinasabi ko na lang gradually na, 'Mommy's working, daddy's working. If mommy's working, you're with me," he continued.
Collins on dating
In April, Collins shared in an interview with Fast Talk with Boy Abunda that she is ready to open her heart again, but with a clear preference for someone outside the entertainment industry.
"I don't know about super ready, I feel like I'm open to it," she said, "Ayoko na ng artista, sorry guys. I don't know, parang magulo ang buhay kapag artista, kasi I feel like I used to being in the spotlight, being in dramas, nadadala mo siya sa totoong buhay and ayoko ng ganun."
The former couple got married in 2017 after dating for four years. Collins confirmed their split in May 2023. A year later, she also revealed that Pancho and she were legally separated.
