'Love you forever': Barbie Hsu's husband marks their 3rd wedding anniversary
Koo Jun Yup shared a short but sweet message to his late wife Barbie Hsu on Instagram to mark their third wedding anniversary.
"Love you forever," he wrote in Korean on Feb. 8. His post was accompanied by the tune LOVE by Sofiane Pamart.
According to the Straits Times, Hsu and Koo registered their marriage in South Korea on Feb. 8, 2022 and later in Taiwan on Mar. 28, 2022.
The couple first dated in 1998 but later separated. In 2010, the Meteor Garden star married Chinese entrepreneur Wang Xiaofei, who she later divorced after being wed for 10 years. In December 2022, they took to social media to write bitter posts against each other regarding their children and money.
On Feb. 6, Koo, a South Korean singer and DJ, described losing Hsu "as if being cut by a knife."
"I have no strength to speak, nor do I want to speak," he wrote.
He also took a swipe at individuals tarnishing the image of their family. He later vowed to protect Hsu's children, aged 8 and 10.
“I will take legal measures through lawyers to protect their rights until they reach adulthood,” he said. “I believe that safeguarding the family that Shi-yuan loved most is the last thing I can do for her.”
Hsu died of pneumonia after contracting influenza during a Lunar New Year celebration in Japan.
She rose to fame in Meteor Garden, starring alongside the boy group F4 comprising Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, Ken Chu, and Vic Chou.
