Miss Eco International 2025 Alexie Brooks reveals she's in a same-sex relationship
Miss Eco International 2025 Alexie Brooks revealed she's in a same-sex relationship for almost a year now.
In an interview on Cayetano in Action with Boy Abunda, the Pinay beauty queen opened up about her love life. Abunda later asked how important "this man" is to her happiness.
However, Brooks stopped to rephrase the question to "this woman."
"I realized it when my grandma passed away, and she was there, and that was the first time I caught myself down on the floor, and she helped me get [up off] the floor. I did not eat for a few days, she did not eat for a few days. She made sure I was okay, and I think that tells so much [about] how much she cares for me, how much she loves me," she shared.
"I'm grateful every day na she's there to make me happy and [support] me in the dreams that I want."
Abunda then reminded Brooks to continue being in love and be happy by "not letting everyone steal that happiness."
The beauty queen earlier opened up about being fluid in her gender expression.
"I express myself as an androgynous woman or person. So basically, if I feel like, I wake up in the morning and I feel like dressing up masculine, I go for it. I have days that I feel very feminine and I literally go for it," she said in an interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.
Brooks is the third Filipina to clinch the Miss Eco International title, following the wins of Cynthia Tomalla (2018) and Kathleen Paton (2022).
She also bagged the Best National Costume at the tilt, which helped her secure a spot in the Top 20.
Previously, Brooks represented Iloilo City at the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 competition, where Bulacan's Chelsea Manalo won the title.
