Dina Bonnevie doubled down on her recent viral statement about all actresses today looking the same due to plastic surgery. She, however, called out those who put words in her mouth, as she did not name anyone.

A viral post quoted Bonnevie as saying, "Kaya minsan pag tiningnan mo, pare-pareho na 'yung mukha nila. Parang iisa lang ba ang doktor nito? Nakakalito, magkamukha nga sila.”

But in a sit-down interview on July 8 with select media, including entertainment page Cinema Bravo, the 63-year-old stressed out, “People are putting words into my mouth. Wala akong binanggit na pangalan."

"I honestly said that. It's true," she said, before recalling herself saying, “'Tingnan mo 'yung mga artistang bata. Mga bata pa lang, operada na, di ba?'"

She recalled being with her friend Pinky Amador when one of the young actresses greeted her. When another one greeted her, she thought it was the same person.

"Sabi ni Pinky, 'Hindi, marge, 'yung isa 'yun.' [Sabi ko,] 'Hindi 'yun 'yung nag-hello kanina? Bakit kasi pare-pareho 'yung mga mukha nila?'" she said.

Bonnevie joked that they may have the same make-up artist or doctor.

"You'd be surprised naman. Pare-pareho sila ng cheekbones, pare-pareho sila ng ilong, pare-pareho ng chin augmentation," she said, without naming anyone.

Bonnevie also looked back into her heyday, a time when cosmetic surgeries aren't popular yet.

"Bakit noong panahon namin, it's either maganda ka, artista ka. Or pinabili ko ng suka, naging artista, komedyante ka," she said, drawing laughter.

"Ngayon, kahit ubod ka ng shongs (pangit), pwede ka na, di ba?" she added.

She also took note of popular "before and after" posts, which supposedly compare one's present looks to their past self.

"Ayaw ko namang malagay sa before and after. Tingnan mo 'yung before and after ko, 'yun pa rin," she said.

Bonnevie also commented on the features of her contemporaries like Lorna Tolentino, Snooky Serna, and Maricel Soriano.

“Iba naman yung mukha ni Lorna sa akin. Iba naman ang mukha ni Snooky, ni Maricel," she said. Pero sabi ko, sa era namin, hindi uso 'yun (cosmetic surgery)."

She then recalled watching television and, yet again, mistook an actress for another, only for her assistant to correct her.

"Bakit pareho yung mukha? Kasi nga, pareho 'yung doktor," she added. "But I didn't name names."

She also alluded to posts of some netizens using photos of Jane De Leon and Alexa Miro to illustrate her point.

"Sa totoo lang, I've never met Jane de Leon in person. I've never met Alexa Miro in person. I've never met them. So it's not true na pinangalanan ko sila. That's putting words into my mouth," she said.

Nevertheless, Bonnevie, without naming anyone again, recalled meeting two actresses whom she mistakenly interchanged for the other."

"Pareho silang may chin augmentation, may cheekbone, pareho sila ng ilong," she said.

In the interview, the media teased her about discussing cosmetic surgery on her upcoming online talk show House of D.

“Siguro, kapag nagkaroon kami ng episode about plastic surgery," she joked.

Bonnevie rose to fame in the '80s. She was dubbed the "drama queen" of her generation.

She's best known for her roles in Katorse, Under-age, Magdusa Ka!, Ang Babaeng Nawawala sa Sarili, and Gumapang Ka sa Lusak.

Her television work includes May Bukas Pa, Hiram, Ikaw Lang ang Mamahalin, and several Maaalala Mo Kaya episodes.

Bonnevie's acting accolades include two FAMAS Awards, two Luna Awards, one Catholic Mass Media Award, and a PMPC Star Award for Television. She also got nominations from Gawad Urian.
