WATCH: Netflix teases 'One Piece' season 2 special announcement for TUDUM
Netflix teased that One Piece will make a special announcement for TUDUM, an upcoming global fan event on May 31.
The teaser of the show's second season showed the Straw Hat Pirates—Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), Nami (Emily Rudd), Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu Arata), Usopp (Jacob Romero), and Sanji (Taz Skylar), gathering on the ship to declare their next destination.
“Straw Hats! Next stop, the Grand Line,” shouts Luffy. The Grand Line is an ocean route stretching all around their fictional Blue Planet.
The scene cuts to Nami waking up a sleeping Luffy, who says the crew should have a slumber party for a “solid bonding time.” The rest of the gang arrived one by one and gathered in front of a projector.
After the countdown, the video showed the One Piece logo and hoofprints, which fans believe tease the arrival of beloved reindeer Chopper to the series.
Netflix’s One Piece live-action received global recognition from critics and fans upon premiering in August 2023.
Adapted from Eiichiro Oda’s phenomenal manga and anime of the same name, which follows the adventures of an energetic Luffy who aspires to become King of Pirates.
The live-action Season 2 will cover all arcs spanning the Grand Line.
TUDUM, taking place on May 31, is Netflix's biggest fan party with first-look reveals on series and live performances. This year's event will feature performances from Lady Gaga and Indian rising hip-hop star Hanumankind.
