Fil-Brit singer beabadoobe, whose real name is Beatrice Laus, first visited the country in September 2022 for the "Beatopia Tour 2022 Live in Manila."

She is known for her "bedroom pop" alternative music, a genre that refers to the dreamy toned-down type of music often made in the comfort of an artist's home.

She began her journey as a singer-songwriter by uploading her songs—including her first one, titled Coffee—and covers of famous tracks on YouTube in 2017. The following year, the then 18-year-old Beatrice was signed to the independent label Dirty Hit Records.

From then, the young musician produced five extended plays: Lice, Patched Up, Loveworm, Space Cadet, and Our Extended Play. Two years after her debut, in February 2020, Beabadoobee won the Radar Award at the 2020 NME Awards, which "celebrates the best emerging act currently making waves" in the industry.

In April 2022, she became the youngest Filipina singer to perform at Coachella. The following year, she opened for Taylor Swift's "The Eras Tour" concerts.
