A new trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI has been released!

Rockstar Games unveiled on Wednesday, May 7, a second trailer for the sixth installment of the highly anticipated video game.

In the nearly three-minute trailer, protagonists Jason and Lucia were seen on a mission in Leonida—a fictitious Florida-inspired state for the game—as soon as the latter got out of prison. The trailer also shared glimpses of the duo’s “new beginnings," moving to a new house, robbing a business, hitting the strip club, stealing bank vaults, and escaping from the police, as well as the Miami-like spot Vice City.

“If we’re gonna do this, we’re doing it right,”

“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida—forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive,” the trailer description read.

The GTA VI was originally set to be released later this year, but was recently rescheduled to May 26, 2026. In the statement, Rockstar Games apologized to its patrons, promising quality content.

“We are very sorry that this is later than you expected. The interest and excitement surrounding a new Grand Theft Auto has been truly humbling for our entire team. We want to thank you for your support and your patience as we work to finish the game,” it wrote.

“With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception. We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve,” it added.

The sixth installment comes almost 13 years after GTA V was released.
