BLACKPINK's Lisa, Kentaro Sakaguchi team up for short film, 'Dream'

Following her acting debut in The White Lotus, BLACKPINK's Lisa is continuing her foray into acting with a new short film project.

On Instagram, the multi-talented rapper and dancer announced her upcoming short film, titled Dream, a collaboration with acclaimed Japanese actor and model Kentaro Sakaguchi.

"An emotional, beautiful story that will soon be yours," the K-pop star wrote in the caption alongside a black-and-white poster that shows Lisa embracing a man.

In a separate post, the 28-year-old BLACKPINK member also posted a teaser photo featuring her and Sakaguchi in a striking black-and-white image with a split-screen composition. 

In the top half, Lisa holds a melancholic expression, while Sakaguchi, who is in the bottom half, has a serene yet contemplative expression.

Dream will premiere on Aug. 14 at 11 a.m. PST.

Lisa is a Thai rapper, singer, dancer, and actress who debuted under YG Entertainment in August 2016. She popularized hit songs such as Rockstar, MONEY, Love to Hate Me, and LALISA, among others. 

Aside from being a soloist, she made her acting debut in 2025 in the HBO television series The White Lotus as Mook, a wellness expert and performer at the White Lotus resort in Thailand. 

Meanwhile, Sakaguchi is a Japanese actor and model who debuted in 2010. He is known in portaying roles in various TV series including Tokyo Tarareba Musume (2017) and Signal (2018) and films like The 100th Love with You (2017), Color Me True (2018), Brave Father Online: Our Story of Final Fantasy XIV (2019), Masked Ward (2020), to name a few.
