Beyoncé's final "Cowboy Carter" show in Las Vegas gave fans a big surprise after Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams joined the Grammy-winning artist on stage for a surprise Destiny's Child performance.
Various videos and photos online showed Beyoncé dramatically strutting down the stage with Rowland and Williams, as the opening notes of their classic hit Independent Women filled Allegiant Stadium.
The trio, who wore matching gold ensembles, also launched into a powerful rendition of their 2004 hit, Lose My Breath, then transitioned to Beyoncé's 2022 track Energy, where the group participated in the infamous Mute Challenge.
The nostalgic set concluded with their 2001 anthem Bootylicious, with Beyoncé embracing Williams and Rowland onstage. As the medley wrapped up, Beyoncé proudly declared to the crowd, "Give it up for Destiny's Child!" before the three exited the stage.
The electrifying moment became an instant social media sensation, stirring nostalgic feelings among countless fans, including Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, who left crying emojis on the singer's post.
This onstage reunion was a significant moment for Destiny's Child, marking their first live concert in seven years. Although they had met offstage, including former members LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett, during Beyoncé's "Renaissance World Tour" in 2023, their last collective live performance was at Beyoncé's Coachella set in 2018.
Destiny's Child originally formed in Houston in the early 1990s, releasing their self-titled debut album in 1998. Their final album, Destiny's Fulfilled, was released in 2004.
They are known for their hit songs Say My Name (1999), Brown Eyes (2001), Survivor (2001), Cater 2 U (2005), Lose My Breath (2005), among others.
Meanwhile, Cowboy Carter is Beyoncé's eighth studio album, released in March 2024 following Renaissance.
