LOOK: Taylor Swift drops cover art and tracklist for new album 'The Life of a Showgirl'
Swifties, TS12 is coming!
Taylor Swift announced on Thursday, Aug. 14 (Philippine time), that her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, will be released on Oct. 3.
"And, baby, that’s show business for you. New album The Life of a Showgirl. Out October 3," she wrote in her social media posts, sharing the new album's cover art.
The pop star revealed that she worked on the album amid her record-breaking Eras Tour.
"It was something that I was working on while I was in Europe on the Eras Tour," she said during her guest appearance on the Kelce brothers' New Heights podcast. “I’d fly to Sweden, go back to the tour, and was actually working on this. I was physically exhausted at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating.”
“This album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during this tour, which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant,” she added. “It just comes from like the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life. And so that effervescence has come through on this record.”
In the follow-up cover art photos, the Red singer is seen channeling her showgirl era, donning burlesque outfits, adorned with rhinestones, feathers, and matching headpieces.
Taylor co-produced the album with Max Martin and Shellback, whom she previously worked with for her hits Blank Space, 22, and Delicate, among others.

The 14-time Grammy winner announced “The Life of a Showgirl” early Tuesday, after a mysterious countdown clock appeared on her website.
The Life of a Showgirl: “It’s Beautiful” Limited Release Deluxe CD is now available for pre-order on her website. Be quick though as it is only available for 72 hours while supplies last.
Taylor last released an album in April 2024, dubbed The Tortured Poets Department.
