Nintendo's newest console, the Switch 2, has finally arrived in the Philippines.

The gaming console launched earlier in June 2 in Japan, North America, and more countries and had a later release in the country.

The Switch 2 features a bigger 7.9-inch display with 1080p resolution at up to 120fps—this is an improvement to the current version's 720p screen. It will also come with 256GB of internal storage, two USB-C ports, a built-in mic, and 3D audio support.

Instead of the sliding Joy-Cons, the new controllers on the upcoming console attach magnetically. Players will press a button to detach the bigger Joy-Cons.

In addition to hardware updates, Nintendo also added GameChat, where users can go on voice and video calls while they're playing on the Switch 2, and GameShare, so players can temporarily share a game with another Switch to play locally.

Here's how much the Switch 2 costs and where you can buy it:

Some retailers are selling the console—including the dock, Joy-Cons, AC adapter, USB-C charging cable, Joy-Con grip, Joy-Con straps, HDMI cable—for P28,750. Shoppers also get a free tote bag with every purchase of the device. At some stores like the Shopee page of Nintendo Official Store, the Switch 2 is listed for P31,990.

A bundle of the console with a physical Mario Kart World game is also available for P30,950.

You can get the new Switch 2 through DataBlitz, GameXtreme, Gameline, the Nintendo Official Store on Shopee, and GameOne.

Games for the Switch 2, like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Sid Meier's Civilization VII, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, and more are also available.
