'Sakaling Hindi Makarating' to stream on Netflix this July

Good news, film fanatics! The 2016 Filipino independent drama film Sakaling Hindi Makarating will is set to arrive on Netflix this July.

Director Ice Idanan shared on Facebook that audiences will once again be able to stream the flick of Netflix on July 11 nearly a decade after it premiered at the second CineFilipino Film Festival.

"After eight long years, our tiny film is coming to Netflix! Oh diba, narinig tayo ng universe. Thank you to everyone who kept this film alive through your messages and inquiries on where to find it. Ito na, pwede na ulit-ulitin!" read the announcement on the film's Facebook page.

Sakaling Hindi Makarating serves as Idanan's directorial debut and stars Alessandra de Rossi as a 27-year-old workaholic named Cielo who is reeling from a broken engagement and the loss of her job.

She then begins receiving anonymous, hand-painted postcards from various places in the Philippines, each one signed only with the initial "M." Inspired by this, Cielo embarks on a spontaneous trip across the country to trace the origins of the postcards.

Joining de Rossi in the film are Teri Malvar, JC Santos, Elijah Canlas, and Pepe Herrera. 

Sakaling Hindi Makarating received acclaim from critics and dominated the awards show of the CineFilipino Film Festival, winning Best Director, Best Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Musical Score, Best Sound, Best Editing, and Second Best Picture.
