Huge brawl erupts at Atlanta airport

A huge brawl erupted at an airport in Atlanta.

A viral video on X showed travelers clad in jackets punching and kicking each other at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport's waiting area near the boarding gate of Spirit Airlines on Feb. 19.

Some stood at the seats as they launched their attacks, while others ganged up on someone.

A woman holding a child's arm is caught on camera passing by and avoiding the fight.

"This is embarrassing," a witness can be heard saying in the video.

Those involved in the quarrel ignored calls to stop as they continued hitting and shouting.

"It’s not worth it!" one witness can be heard saying multiple times.

"Y’all got kids over there, man! Hey, hey, hey, hey!" another witness can be heard.

Another video, shot from a different angle, showed some passengers watching the fight from afar as others avoided the ongoing violence.

"Why are they fighting?" one witness can be heard asking.

It is unclear how long the brawl lasted or what started it.

Local police told Fox 5 Atlanta they responded to reports of a large disturbance at the airport but the crowd had already dispersed by the time they arrived.

Nobody appeared to have been arrested over the commotion.

Representatives from the airport and Spirit Airlines have yet to issue a statement.
