Motorists to receive real-time SMS, email notification for NCAP violations
Vehicle owners will now receive a text message and email notification on possible violations of the no contact apprehension policy.
On top of the "May Huli Ka" website, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority launched real-time SMS and email notifications on July 7.
MMDA Chairman Atty. Don Artes said that this initiative was rolled out to inform motorists of NCAP violations, even without an internet connection, so that they can take immediate action as soon as possible.
The SMS will come from MMDA_NCAP and will read: "MAY HULI KA! A traffic violation was recorded for your vehicle with Plate (license plate number). Please visit the official MMDA MayHuliKa portal using your Plate/Conduction No. and MV File No. for verification. #mmda #bagongpilipinas."

Meanwhile, vehicle owners will also receive an email from no-reply@mmda.gov.ph, that includes a short message: "A traffic violation was recorded for your vehicle with Plate (license plate number) via the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP)."
It also asks you to verify the violation via the May Huli Ka portal.

MMDA further clarified that the text and email notifications do not include payment links to prevent scams.
"Both the SMS and email notifications are sent from no-reply senders," the agency said.
The vehicle owners' contact numbers and email addresses come from the Land Transportation Office's Land Transportation Management System records. You can update your records in the LTO LTMS to make sure you receive notifications.
"A result of 'No Record Found' status does not necessarily indicate the absence of traffic violations, as the mayhulika.mmda.gov.ph website shows only traffic violations under NCAP," the MMDA said in a press release.
In June, the MMDA launched a dedicated website where you can check if you have committed traffic violations through the NCAP. On the website, you can enter your plate number or conduction sticker and motor vehicle file number and click "Check."
If you have any NCAP traffic violations, the website includes steps on what to do, including the payment process, where to pay the traffic fine, and how you may contest or appeal your case.
Under the NCAP, which was reimplemented last May 26, an MMDA operator at the command center reviews and confirms footage when a traffic violation is committed. The operator then checks the vehicle's registration details. Once verified, the operator inputs the violation into the NCAP system, which automatically generates and delivers a notice of violation to the motorist's registered address.
NCAP fines may be paid online via the Landbank portal or in person at the MMDA Redemption Office in Pasig. If the fine remains unpaid, the vehicle's license plate will be added to the Land Transportation Office's alarm list.
The NCAP covers C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, and radial roads Roxas Boulevard, Taft Avenue, South Superhighway, Shaw Boulevard, Ortigas Avenue, MAgsaysay Boulevard, Aurora Boulevard, Quezon Avenue, Commonwealth Avenue, A. Bonifacio, Rizal Avenue, Del Pan, Marcos Highway, and McArthur Highway.
