Marcos launches 'Sumbong sa Pangulo' website to track, report flood control projects. Here's how to use it

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has launched a new website, titled "Sumbong sa Pangulo," where the public can track and report flood control projects.

This comes after, during his 2025 state of the nation address, Marcos called out government officials who allegedly commit corruption, particularly in flood control projects.

"Kasi parang sinasabi ng mga iba, 'Nakikita naman na hindi maganda (tungkol flood control projects), pero wala naman kaming mapuntahan, malapitan.' Ngayon meron na. Ngayon, may malalapitan. Ang lalapitan niyo ngayon, ako na mismo dahil ako titingin dito [sa website] araw-araw at babasahin ko ang mga report na bibigay ng taumbayan," the president said.

He added that he and his team will go through every report and see which are credible and what has to be acted on.

During the press briefing in Malacañang on Aug. 11, Marcos said that there are 9,855 flood control projects that cost a total of P545.64 billion since July 2022. About 6,021 projects worth more than P350 billion do not specify the exact type of flood control being built, while several projects in different locations also have the same contract cost.

The website is now online via sumbongsapangulo.ph. Here's how you can check, track, and report flood control projects.

When you log onto the website, you will see the list of flood control projects from the Department of Public Works and Highways with their project description, location, contractor, cost, and completion date.

The public can look up any project in the search bar above the table. They can key in the name of their barangay, city or province, region, type of work, and funding year.

For a more interactive view, there's also a flood control map showing a street view of the different projects. In this section, you'll also see a list of completed flood control projects per region and year of completion.

If you want to submit information about anomalies like broken structures, lacking equipment, and unfinished work, you can click on the red "Report" button on the right-most column.

You'll then be asked to include a 5,000-character report and, optionally, add your name, email, contact number, and photo or video proof regarding the flood control project.

Once done, click submit, and a prompt will pop up indicating that your report has been submitted successfully. You will also get a reference number to track your report.

During his SONA, Marcos said that the flood control projects are "failures," in light of recent heavy rains and flooding.

"Sa mga nakikipagsabwatan upang kunin ang pondo ng bayan at nakawin ang kinabukasan ng ating mga mamamayan, mahiya naman kayo sa inyong mga kapwa Pilipino," he added.

"Mahiya naman kayo sa mga kabahayan nating naanod o nalubog sa mga pagbaha. Mahiya naman kayo lalo sa mga anak natin na magmamana sa mga utang na ginawa ninyo nang ibinulsa niyo lang ang pera."
