Plan your transactions, GCash users!

The mobile payments service announced that it will have a scheduled system maintenance for all services for two hours in the early morning of April 24.

GCash said that the app "will be taking a break" from 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.

"Please plan your transactions ahead to avoid any inconvenience," it said on Facebook.

The company started as an online payment channel but has since expanded its offerings to include savings, investments, and loans. GCash has also extended its services to overseas Filipinos, allowing them to send money using international SIM cards.

Travelers can also use the app in other countries as it is now accepted in Asia's top travel destinations, including South Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia.

The cross-border payment was made possible through the e-wallet's collaboration with Alipay+.

To find out if the establishment will accept GCash payments, look for an in-store display of the Alipay+ sign. Then, open your GCash app and tap QR to scan the merchant's code. Users must also be verified to pay cashless abroad.
