Sad news for orchestra fans: Kbeam Events has announced the cancelation of its upcoming Manila shows for The Magical Music of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit, The Music of Hans Zimmer & Others, and The Lion King.

These film music concerts, initially scheduled on July 6 to 8 at the Manila Metropolitan Theater, will not push through due to “unforeseen circumstances” from international event producer Star Entertainment.

“Due to Star Entertainment’s logistical issues and matters involving their performers, we concluded that it is in everyone’s best interest to cancel these concerts,” Kbeam Events said in a May 19 statement.

They clarified that their role was limited to processing permits and assisting with local production, emphasizing that the theater was already booked and they had no involvement in the production planning.

The organizers are starting the refund process, but remind patrons to wait a few business days for it to reflect on their accounts.

“It has always been our mission to deliver top-quality entertainment and events to our fans and clients. Anything less than what is expected by our patrons is not on our agenda,” they said.

Those who have concerns about refunds may email support@ticketmelon.com.

The Magical Music of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit, The Music of Hans Zimmer & Others, and The Lion King feature iconic scores and themes from all their respective films.

The ticket prices ranged from P2,200 to P6,720.
