Weekend hangs: See Zedd and SB19 live, enjoy art, and watch comedy shows this May 30 to June 1

After a demanding week of deadlines, everyone has earned some well-deserved relaxation. And what better way to unwind than by finally hearing Zedd play Clarity live again, entering the Yuchengco Museum for free, or catching a stand-up comedy show featuring SPIT?

May 29-June 1: All aBoard Expo 2025 

Are you fond of playing board games and competing against random players? Then you definitely would want to visit “All aBoard Expo 2025,” happening from May 29 to June 1, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the M.I.C.E Center, Quezon City. 

Play hundreds of cult classics, new releases, and interactive board games by following a set path where you can complete activities per stage and unlock prizes until you reach the grand prize. 

Hardcore gamers can also enter tournaments by availing tourney tickets with varying prices depending on the game.

May 30-31: &FRIENDS Music & Pop Culture Festival 

Care for electrifying beats and a taste of art and pop culture? Experience these and more at the &Friends Festival happening at the Cove, Okada Manila on May 30-31. 

A hotspot for music, art, cosplay, food, and fan-creator connections—&Friends offers a two-day expo and a three-stage music event featuring US and Asian artists who will deliver their unique sounds to the Philippine stage. 

The Cove Stage, Creator Stage, and Friendship Stage will simultaneously host various artists with EDM, Korean hits, OPM, and underground music styles. You might catch DJ HYO (Hyoyeon from Girls’ Generation), Grammy-winner Zedd, Billboard-charting producer ILLENIUM, and rapper bbno$ on specific day schedules.

May 30: Lola Amour’s free 9th-anniversary show 

Downpours in the Metro will never be the same without Lola Amour’s “Raining in Manila” playing in the background. Now, they’re set to celebrate their 9th anniversary—rain or shine—on May 30 at Rizal Park’s Open Air Auditorium, for free. The band will be joined by rising OPM bands and artists Sugarcane, The Ridleys, Jan Roberts, and ALYSON. 

Getting the free pass is simple, simply pre-save Lola Amour’s upcoming single, Misbehave,  then wait for an email confirmation within the next few days. Present a valid ID and a screenshot of the email on the event day. 

May 30: Artoon Network: Cartoon Art Show 

Got a love for cartoons? Then the Artoon Network’s Manila stop at The Astbury in Makati on May 30 is just for you. 

The Artoon Network is a traveling cartoon art show featuring over 30 local and international cartoon artists. The show recently visited Indonesia and Thailand and will be heading to Manila and then Cebu on June 6.

May 31: BTS j-hope’s HOPE ON STAGE in JAPAN: Live Viewing 

Calling all AMRYs! This is your chance to watch j-hope's livestreamed performance in cinemas near you on May 31, starting at 5:15 p.m.

BTS’ phenomenal dancer and performer will finish his world tour in Osaka, Japan, and he has made sure that every fan worldwide gets to catch it through a global live viewing experience, available at SM Cinemas and Vista Cinemas. 

He’s set to perform his solo album titles, MORE, Arson, and NEURON (with Gaeko, yoonmirae), and his recent singles, Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel) and MONA LISA

May 31-June 1: SB19’s 'Simula at Wakas: World Tour' kickoff 

Looks like P-pop boy band SB19’s only destination is up, as they’re about to kick off their world tour starting at the Philippine Arena from May 31 to June 1. 

Performing their title track DAM and other songs on their third EP, Simula at Wakas, SB19 is set to light up the stage for 2 days before going overseas, with the June 1 schedule added due to popular demand. 

The band will visit Taiwan, California, Canada, Singapore, and more.

June 1: Free entrance to Yuchengco Museum 

If you like a quieter weekend surrounded by pure art, you can stop by the Yuchengco Museum on June 1—they’re offering free admission to celebrate the start of the month. 

New cartography exhibits, works of celebrated visual artists, Jose Rizal’s mementos, and over 30 art contributions worldwide await you at their doors, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. only. 

Entry points for museumgoers are at the Courtyard entrance (Ayala Avenue, RCBC Plaza) and Gil J. Puyat Avenue entrance (RCBC Plaza).

June 1: Funnily Ties: A Fundraising Event feat. SPIT 

In need of non-stop laughs and good vibes? Maybe the traveling improv group SPIT can help you with that on their June 1 show at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater, Ateneo de Manila University. 

With spontaneous energy and perfect comedic timing, the theater group will surely boost your happy hormones during their "Funnily Ties" show for a cause.

In a Facebook post, SPIT shares that the show has a PG-13 rating and is open for kids, but still encourages parental discretion because of its unscripted nature. Get tickets here
