One of the three students hit by falling concrete debris in QC dies
CJ Baldonado, one of the three Grade 7 students struck by falling concrete debris in Quezon City, has passed away, his father confirmed.
Jayson Baldonado posted a tribute on Facebook, saying that his son doesn't need to suffer anymore.
[P]inagbigyan kami ng panginoon ng 2nd chance na makasama ka para makapag paalam," he continued, saying that he knows he could hear them when they talk to him.
"Wag mo kami pabayaan kuya.
He asked his son to watch over them whenever they have problems.
Last Aug. 12, CJ and two of his schoolmates were walking in front of Atherton Place Condominium along Tomas Morato Avenue at around 4:40 p.m. when a portion of concrete from the building's upper structure fell.
The day after, Jayson said that CJ successfully underwent an operation for a severe head injury.
The Quezon City government has launched an investigation and is exploring potential legal cases in the wake of the incident.
