Vietnam's Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien wins Miss Grand International 2021

Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien is the new Miss Grand International!

Vietnamese contestant Nguyen took the crown for Miss Grand International 2021 on Saturday, Dec. 4 in Bangkok, Thailand.

She was asked during the final question and answer portion who she would discuss current world situation problems and why.

Nguyen responded: "If I have the chance to choose the one I would speak to, I would like to say thank you to the one who invented AstraZeneca (vaccine) she doesn't need the money from the invention license. And I was thanks to her and to all people to know that I feel grateful because of her. Sometimes you need to do the good things but don't get the credit for it. Thank you."

Taking the first runner-up title was Miss Ecuador, followed by Miss Brazil who earned second runner-up. While Puerto Rico and South Africa took home the third and fourth runner-up titles respectively.
