Forbes has released its 2025 list of the wealthiest people in the Philippines.

On its website, the magazine said the collective wealth of the country's 50 richest rose to $86 billion (P4.9 trillion) this year, from $80.8 billion (P4.6 trillion) in 2024.

Factors include the country's 5.4% economic growth in the first quarter as driven by domestic demand and increased infrastructure investments.

Forbes noted that the US tariffs "proved to be a spoiler," with the country’s benchmark stock market index dropping by 7% since the last assessment. Nevertheless, it said the impact was partially offset by a firmer peso.

The Sy siblings—Teresita, Elizabeth, Henry Jr., Hans, Herbert, and Harley—of the SM Group kept the top spot with $11.8 billion (P675.4 billion), despite their $1.2 billion (P68.6 billion) net worth drop—the biggest drop in dollar terms.

Ports and casino magnate Enrique Razon Jr. stayed in the second spot with $11.5 billion (P658.3 billion), from $11.1 billion (P635.4 billion) last year. Property tycoon Manny Villar was still in the third spot with $11 billion (P629.6 billion), from $10.9 billion (P623.9 billion).

Tony Tan Caktiong of Jollibee Foods Corporation descended to 10th spot, from last year's 6th, keeping a net worth of $2.9 billion (P166 billion).

Recording the biggest gain in percentage were Dennis Anthony and Maria Grace Uy of broadband services provider Converge ICT Solutions. They placed 16th spot with $1.6 billion, from 2024's 19th spot with $920 million (P91.5 billion). That amounts to a 74% growth.

The Aboitiz family, whose interests include power, banking and financial services, food, infrastructure, and real estate, was out of the Top 10 and placed 12th, though it kept its net worth of $2.2 billion (P125.9 billion).

Landing at the 50th spot was Benedicto and Teresita Yujuico of office landlord DDMP REIT, a subsidiary of tycoon Edgar Sia's property developer DoubleDragon. They have a joint net worth $185 million (P10.5 billion).
