It's twice the celebration for the Barretto family, as Leon Barretto graduates from college days after his mom, Marjorie Barretto, earned her degree.

On Aug. 17, Leon penned a lengthy message about his "difficult yet fulfilling" college journey, along with photos of him at his graduation with his mother Marjorie, sisters Dani and Julia, and friends.

"This wouldn't have been possible without the love, guidance, and support of my mom. Mom, no words can express how grateful and blessed I am to have you. You made sure I had a good life and encouraged me to prioritize my education. Because of that, finishing school despite all the challenges and opportunities along the way became the best decision I've ever made," he wrote.

He also thanked his sister Julia for taking care of her in the past years.

"It meant so much—not just because you helped mom, btu because of the belief and potential you've always seen in me. I wouldn't be who I am today without your support," Leon added.

Leon earned a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communication at the University of Asia and the Pacific.

"I'm so proud of you," Julia wrote in an Instagram story.

Several other friends in the entertainment industry also celebrated with Leon.

"Congratssss," Venice Bektas commented with a pink heart emoji.

"Congrats Leon," added Melai Cantiveros.

"So proud of u," said Frankie Pangilinan.

On Aug. 13, Marjorie, 51, shared that she finally fulfilled her dream of finishing college after years of putting it off. She received a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts from the Philippine Women's University.

For Marjorie's graduation, Leon wrote about how not a lot of people can say they graduated from college the same year as their mom.

"It's really never too late—congratulations, mom! [You are] truly an inspiration to my siblings and me," he said.
