Joyce Pring graduates summa cum laude after 15 years in college
After 15 years, Joyce Pring completed her college degree with the highest distinction.
The television personality pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts at the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta, graduating with summa cum laude honors and Best in Thesis last July 9.
On Instagram, she shared that achieving this milestone fulfills a promise she made to her 18-year-old self. At that time, she had to pause her education to pursue work.
"What began as a quiet resolve to finally complete my college degree has unfolded into something of deeper purpose— a journey that has transformed far more than my academic life," Pring wrote.
"As I crossed the stage today to claim my diploma, my heart marveled in awe at the goodness of God in my life; this whole experience is truly a testament to His perfect timing, will, and plan for our lives," she continued.
"This diploma isn’t just a piece of paper—it’s a promise kept: a promise of healing, restoration, and newness of life," the celebrity mom of two added. "That in the brokenness and in the mire that my 18-year-old self was found, God has weaved the most beautiful story for His glory, and for my good. Seeing it all now that I’m 32 is just an incredible blessing."
Pring has built her career in media, having worked as a video jockey and TV host. In her previous post, she said her manager and mentor, Betchay Vidanes, encouraged her to return to school in 2023.
"I wanted to fulfill this dream because diploma o diskarte is a false dichotomy; one can do both, even if it's a long and arduous journey. I wanted to graduate so I can finally tell my 18-year-old self, crushed and dejected and forced to grow up fast that, despite everything she had to go through to get here, God has always been good, and He has always meant it all for good," Joyce shared at the time.
Fans and celebrities, including Anthony Pangilinan, Cara Eriguel, and Yam Concepcion, expressed their warmest congratulations in the post's comments section.
