The 2025 Miss Universe Philippines coronation night had some trending moments, including ones that even birthed hilarious memes on social media.

The finals night was held on Friday, May 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Among the highly talked about moments at the recently concluded affair was Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province’s onstage fall during the evening gown segment—one that she later mentioned in her answer during the Q&A portion.

When asked about a time in her life when she led by example and the impact it made, she said, “I fell a while ago on stage. The thing with me is, whenever I fall in life, I always make sure I come back stronger.” Manalo ended up winning the highly coveted crown.

A social media user posted a video of the viral moment on X with the caption: “Literal na babangon ako at dudurugin kita.”

There were also other hit memes on X, like that of an Internet user, who joked about how late the competition started—the MUPh organization said the competition would start at 6 p.m. but it only began around two hours later.

Another one also joked about having fictional character Annalise Keating (How to Get Away with Murder) as a guest at the MUPh 2025 tilt as Miss Universe Asia and 2024 titleholder Chelsea Manalo reminded them of her during the show’s opening number.

An X user poked fun at how only the MUPh winner among the Top 6 candidates was announced by accompanying their post with a viral clip of Beyonce when she seemed surprised over winning a Grammy award last year.

Another netizen also joked about Yllana Aduana of Siniloan, Laguna's moment during the evening gown segment, where she did a slow twirl to give the crowd a good look at her outfit.

Manalo was named the new MUPh queen at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. She is set to represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe pageant that will be held on Nov. 21 in Thailand.

Following her win, she posted a photo with Bb. Pilipinas 2014 MJ Lastimosa wearing her iconic national costume at the Miss Universe pageant. "See U in Thailand with ate MJ Lastimosa," she wrote in the caption with a laughing emoji.

She was followed by Winwyn Marquez of Muntinlupa (1st runner-up) and Yllana Aduana of Siniloan, Laguna (2nd runner-up).

Sultan Kudarat's Chelsea Fernandez was announced as Miss Philippines Cosmo 2025, while Taguig’s Katrina Llegado was crowned Miss Philippines Supranational 2025. Gabriella Carballo of Cebu was named Miss Philippines Eco International 2025. Check out our full coverage of the MUPh 2025 competition here.
