South Korean singer Lee Min dies at 46
Lee Min, a South Korean singer and a member of the female R&B duo As One, has passed away. She was 46.
This was confirmed by her agency, BRANDNEW MUSIC, stating that Lee was found dead at her home on Tuesday afternoon by her husband.
"Last night, Lee Min's husband discovered her when he returned home," the agency said, as per the K-entertainment website Soompi.
The agency added, "The police are conducting an investigation. We ask that people refrain from excessive speculation until the results are released."
Soompi reported that Korean-American singer Crystal, a member of the duo As One, is traveling from the United States to Korea after hearing the news.
Lee, born in 1978, debuted in 1999 as part of the duo As One, alongside Crystal. They released the album Day by Day in the same year.
In June, the duo released a new single titled Happy Birthday To You and also appeared on KBS 2TV's music talk show The Seasons: Park Bogum's Cantabile on July 4 as featured artists on a single by comedians Moon Se-yoon and rapper Hanhae.
They also gained prominence with hit songs such as Want and Resent, You're Welcome, and Do You Have to Be Sorry, among others.
