Korean actress Lee Seo Yi dies at 43
Korean star Lee Seo Yi has died. She was 43.
In an Instagram post shared on her account, her manager said the actress was a "radiant, beautiful, kind-hearted sister" who "became a star in the sky on June 20."
"I share this news with deep sorrow," the post read.
"I know many of you will be shocked and heartbroken by this sudden news. Please pray for her so she may rest in a peaceful and beautiful place. I am posting this on behalf of her mother and father," it added.
The cause of her death hasn't been disclosed.
Lee made her acting debut in the 2013 historical drama Hur Jun, The Original Story.
She also had roles in Cheongdam-dong Scandal and The Divorce Insurance, as well as in movies such as Madame Pong-Duk, The King, Are You Still in Love?, and Killing Romance.
Aside from acting, Lee was also an accomplished scholar. According to multiple outlets, including Koreaboo, she graduated from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, where she majored in Czech and Slovak studies. She also pursued higher education at Pusan National University.
