Vlogger Jeraldine Blackman to undergo heart surgery

Jeraldine Blackman of The Blackman Family revealed she has to undergo heart surgery to treat her arrhythmia or irregular heart rhythms.

In an Instagram post, the content creator shared she was first diagnosed with a left ventricular septal aneurysm in 2022 and has been under medical supervision since. According to health information website Cleveland Clinic, such happens when there is a "bulge or weakened area in the wall of your heart's ventricles."

Her condition remained stable for nearly three years. Her cardiologist, however, noticed an abnormal heart rhythm last week.

“Last week, I saw my cardiologist, and he discovered that I’ve developed an arrhythmia,” she shared in a social media post. “Six months ago, these extra beats weren’t there, so this is something new.”

Jeraldine said that what she's experiencing in particular is RVOT VT (Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Ventricular Tachycardia). It's generally considered benign, though it "may result in recurrent symptoms of palpitations and dizziness and less commonly loss of consciousness," per Stanford Medicine.

"According to the cardiologists I’ve seen here in Australia, my aneurysm is likely a condition I was born with—or even developed before birth," she continued.

The influencer shared that she's wearing heart monitors for two weeks before her doctors confirm her date of operation.

She assured her fans that she's doing just fine. “Please don’t worry—I’m okay! I’ve got Jette and Nimo with me in this battle!” she added, referring to her two children with her ex-husband Josh Blackman.

Jeraldine rose to fame for creating content featuring The Blackman Family. In February, Jeraldine announced her separation from Josh but noted they remain friends as they co-parent their kids.
