WATCH: Jessica Sanchez performs 'Ordinary' on 'America's Got Talent' while 8 months pregnant
Jessica Sanchez took the America's Got Talent stage performing a powerful rendition of Alex Warren's Ordinary—while eight months pregnant.
On Sept. 2, the Filipino American singer returned after earning a golden buzzer from Sofia Vergara which advanced her directly to the live shows.
Sanchez donned an all-brown suit and had her hair in a sleek ponytail for her performance. At times, she was seen touching her baby bump as she belted high notes.
Her rendition drew a standing ovation from judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, and Howie Mandel, while Sofia Vergara raised her arms and yelled cheers for Sanchez.
"Bravo, Jessica! That was amazing! I know that you felt that you have been struggling because of the belly and the breathing, and your voice doesn't feel the same, but that was spectacular!" Vergara said.
Meanwhile, Cowell recalled how, before coming out, Sanchez shared that she wasn't feeling too good.
"I said, 'Look, honestly, genuinely, it's your choice whether you want to do this or not,' and she said, 'No, I want to do this,'" he said.
"I'm so happy you did because you have such an amazing tone, such an amazing [glow] about you."
For Mel B, she found that Sanchez even "sounded better."
"When you hit those big notes, I was worried that this production was going to turn into a reproduction," Mandel, meanwhile, joked.
Asked about what her performance means to her, Sanchez answered, "It means everything. I take pride in what I do on stage, and I didn't want to let my big belly affect that."
"I'm super happy I was able to deliver."
Sanchez announced she was pregnant on the AGT stage on July 16, when she got the elusive golden buzzer after singing Benson Boone's Beautiful Things.
In an exclusive interview with magazine Parade.com, the singer talked about being eight months pregnant and what it would mean for her AGT journey.
"I feel like everything happens on God's timing, and I'm just trusting in whatever the Lord has for me, whether it is to push me through to the finale or it's to go home early. Of course, I'm there and I want to win, right?" Sanchez said.
"But yes, it is cutting it close... I'm having the time of my life right now and I'm being stress-free, and I'm excited."
The Fil-Am singer joined the first season of AGT in 2005 when she was 10 years old, but didn't make it to the grand finals. She joined American Idol in 2012, finishing as a runner-up.
