Filipino American singer Jessica Sanchez—who joined the first season of America's Got Talent in 2005 but didn't make it to the grand finals—auditioned for the reality competition anew on its 20th anniversary and got the elusive golden buzzer.

In a clip of the show's July 16 episode, Sanchez, now 29, gave judges Howie Mandel, Mel B, Sofia Vergara, and Simon Cowell a big smile before saying hello.

She noted that she first joined AGT at the age of 10, as archival footage showed her audition, in which she described the competition as a "different world." The news of her elimination also flashed on the screen.

"AGT was the beginning of that fire," she said, adding that she "kind of fell out of love of music" as she's "swayed by everything that everybody wants me to be."

"It took me maybe 20 years, but I know exactly who I am. I know exactly what I want," she said. "I'm excited to be back."

Sanchez also informed the judges that she's already married and pregnant, much to the applause of the crowd.

"This is the best thing in your life that can ever happen in your life," Cowell said, before repeating "ever" seven more times.

Sanchez's band then came on stage, as she conditioned herself for a breathtaking rendition of Beautiful Things by Benson Boone.

She began with her soulful and controlled voice before unleashing something commanding and powerful in the chorus, triggering roars and applause from the crowd.

Sanchez got a standing ovation, a thumbs up from Cowell, and compliments from Mendel, who said she "blew the roof off the place."

Mel B, who said she's "lost for words," called Sanchez's voice as coming from a "bloody angel."

Vergara said "something very special" happened on the stage with Sanchez, and her appearance after 20 years is a "special moment."

"I think that you deserve this," Vergara said before pressing the golden buzzer.

Getting the golden buzzer means a contestant will advance directly to the live shows, bypassing the need for further deliberation from the judges.

Vergara then joined Sanchez on stage and gave her a long hug as golden confetti was raining. Cowell also approached Sanchez backstage and was all praises for her.

The clip ends with Sanchez kissing and hugging her husband as she savors the full circle moment.

Sanchez also joined American Idol in 2012, finishing as a runner-up.

She released her debut studio album Me, You & the Music in 2013. In the same year, she appeared on the musical Glee and performed the Philippine national anthem during Manny Pacquiao's match against Brandon Rios.

In the coming years, Sanchez visited the Philippines and performed in several concerts, including an appearance on ASAP. She also worked with Filipino artists like Jake Zyrus and Martin Nievera.
