BTS' Jungkook warns trespassers: 'Don’t come near my house'

After multiple trespassing incidents at his home by his fans, BTS member Jungkook has had enough.

During a birthday livestream on Weverse, the South Korean singer addressed a recent trespassing incident in which a woman in her 40s attempted to break into his home but was caught by the police.

Recalling the incident, Jungkook shared that he saw the whole thing on the surveillance camera.

"She opened the door in the underground parking lot, and the police were right there in front of her. I was watching everything," he said, per a translation from Korea JoongAng Daily.

"She said we were friends. I mean, ARMYs are like family and friends, sure, but that was just sad. I appreciate the support, but come on—don’t do that," he continued.

He then issued a stern warning that those who trespass will immediately be caught.

"If you show up, I’ll lock you in. I’ve got the evidence, and you’ll be taken away. Everything is recorded. If you step into the parking lot of my home, you won’t be able to leave unless I open the door for you," Jungkook said.

"There are cameras everywhere. If you don’t want to be dragged to the police station, do not enter," he added.

The music artist has dealt with this kind of invasive behavior from fans before. In June earlier this year, a 30-year-old woman had been detained by police for similarly attempting to break into his home just hours after he was discharged from military service.

She was caught repeatedly attempting to enter the passcode at the front door of the K-pop star's residence in Yongsan District.

Police responded to a report and arrested her at the scene on suspicion of attempted trespassing. Reports also say that the woman had flown to South Korea specifically to see the K-pop idol.

On the latest incident, authorities are still investigating the suspect's motives.

In South Korea, offenders can face up to three years in prison or fines as high as 30 million won (P1.2 million) under its 2021 antistalking law.
