Influencer Emilie Kiser has broken her silence on the death of her 3-year-old son Trigg, who died in a drowning incident in May.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Aug. 29, the social media personality began by saying that the "loss of this magnitude feels impossible to put into words."

"I've spent days, weeks, months trying to find them and also take the time I've needed to digest the loss of my baby," she opened up.

Emilie, who shares Trigg with her husband Brady, said they consider him as their "best friend."

"The light and spirit he brought into this world was bright, pure, joyful, and undeniable. We miss him every second of every day and continuing forward often feels unbearable," she continued.

"I never thought we would experience grief in this way or the pain of losing him so suddenly," she added, describing it as a "pain, heartache, and void that no family should ever have to endure."

Emilie acknowledged that she "could have done more" to prevent Trigg's death.

"I take full accountability as Trigg's mother, and I know I should have done more to protect him. One of the hardest lessons I carry is that a permanent pool fence could have saved his life, and it's something I will never overlook again," she wrote. "I hope amidst this pain, Trigg's story will help prevent other children and families from suffering the same loss."

"In the future, I hope to be in a place to share more about how I am navigating this grief, but right now, all I can say is thank you for the love, compassion, patience, and space you've given us to grieve. I am more grateful for it than can ever be expressed," continued Kiser.

Her post came three months after Trigg's death on May 18 after drowning in a backyard pool.

Chandler police reported that they were alerted about the incident on May 12 around 7 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, they began performing CPR on Trigg until other responders arrived and gave him medical assistance immediately.

Trigg was rushed to a nearby hospital before he was transferred to Phoenix Children's Hospital, where he remained in critical condition for days and eventually passed away.

As stated in a search warrant affidavit obtained by KPNX, Brady told authorities he was distracted by their infant son, Theodore, when Trigg went outside to play.

According to Brady, Emilie had gone out with friends and he was left to take care of their two kids alone.

He said he lost sight of Trigg for a few minutes, and when he went outside, he found the boy unconscious in the pool.

In July, police recommended a child abuse charge against Brady.

Emilie shares motherhood and lifestyle content with Brady on her social media accounts. She has over 1.3 million followers on Instagram and 3.5 million on TikTok.
