TikTok star found dead and dismembered at 19
TikToker and influencer Fabiola Alejandra Caicedo Piña has been found dead and dismembered. She was only 19.
Local media outlets reported that the content creator's remains were found inside the filtration system of a water plant in Lima, Peru.
According to police, her body parts were severely damaged.
No suspects have been identified as of writing.
Her murder came three years after her ex-partner Meiner Jiménez Castillo was discovered lifeless in Lima, per TV program Latina Noticias. The case is yet to be solved.
Piña had been blamed by some of Castillo’s relatives for his death, La Republlica reported, with some of them attacking her online.
Per the local publication, her family claimed she left them without a word so she could be with Castillo. She was just a minor at the time. Her relatives, however, noted that they got together "peacefully" and she wasn't in any way forced to be with her then-partner.
Piña was known as "China Baby" on TikTok, where she garnered thousands of followers for her lip sync and dance videos.
