Kelley Mack of The Walking Dead fame has died. She was 33.

Her family confirmed her death through a post on her Instagram account, saying she was with her mother and aunt when she died.

Through an official statement on the CaringBridge website, her family said she passed away peacefully on Aug. 2 after battling glioma of the central nervous system. According to Mayo Clinic, glioma grows and forms a mass of cells called a tumor, which can then grow to press on the brain or spinal cord tissue and cause symptoms.

Mack was born in Cincinnati in Ohio, and grew up in several places, including Wyoming, Mt. Lookout, Ellisville, Avon, Charlotte, and Hinsdale. She has lived and worked in Los Angeles for the past 11 years.

Her family remembered her life achievements, including a cinematography degree from the Dodge College of Film at Chapman University, and 35 acting and five producing credits. Her most memorable television roles, the family noted, include Addy of The Walking Dead, and Penelope Jacobs of Chicago Med and 9-1-1. For film, her roles include Alice in Broadcast Signal Intrusion, Wilda in Delicate Arch, and Ricky in the upcoming Universal.

Mack also did commercial acting and voice-over work.

"Kelly was known for her warmth, creativity, and unwavering support for those around her. She cherished time with her family and friends, finding joy in collaboration and storytelling. Her infectious enthusiasm and dedication to her work inspired countless others in the industry and beyond," her family said.

"Beyond her love for God, family and her career, Kelly enthusiastically enjoyed life," her family added. "She was an accomplished college tennis player, and loved hiking, pickleball, biking, playing piano and traveling."

Her agency, DDO Artists Agency, described her as "an enormous talent" with a "powerful energy and spirit."

"Her grit, kindness, professionalism and humor are what led to her diverse career across all mediums," it said in a Facebook post. "We are so grateful Kelley’s legacy can live on and her talent can be witnessed again and again through her illustrious body of work. She was the model client and we are so incredibly grateful that we were lucky enough to champion her for the past 7 years."

Mack is survived by her mother and father, sister, brother, grandmother and grandfather, and boyfriend.

Her family said there will be a recognition and remembrance of her life on Aug. 16 at the Glendale Lyceum in Ohio. They're also planning to celebrate her life at a future date in Los Angeles.

"Kelley's legacy will live on through her contributions to film and television, and in the hearts of those who loved her," they said. "She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her talent, kindness, and vibrant spirit."
