A tribute album paying homage to Eraserheads' 'Cutterpillow' is out now
Eraserheads' third album, Cutterpillow, is celebrating its 30th anniversary.
To mark the album's 30th year, indie label Offshore Music paid homage by releasing a tribute with up-and-coming and established local acts performing their genre-bending takes and reinterpretations of beloved songs such as Ang Huling El Bimbo, Overdrive, and Huwag Mo Nang Itanong.
"We didn't set any parameters," Eraserheads frontman and Offshore Music CEO Ely Buendia said. "We just told the artists that it was a tribute album, and they can interpret it as they see fit."
"The decision is left to the artists, and we trust that they have the taste and wisdom to determine whether they are enhancing the original song or giving it some sort of a sonic makeover that appeals to a specific generation of listeners."
The release features artists like Diego's Scenes and Ligaya Escueta doing their version of Back2Me, Pixie Labrador reimagining Fill Her, ena mori adding theatrical flair to the title track, and more.
The album also features performances from Amateurish feat. Stef Aranas for Superproxy, MI MI and Eliza Marie for Waiting for the Bus, Sansette for Fine Time, Seedy and the Years for Karma Supra, JUICEBOX for Overdrive, GundamFunk for Slo Mo, Elton Clark for Torpedo, Her Name is Noelle for Paru-Parong Ningning, Carousel Casualties for Walang Nagbago, Grave Aviators for Poorman's Grave, and neytan for Yoko.

Offshore Music also performed a reprised version of Overdrive.
