Philippines gets nominated in three key categories at 2025 Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards
The Philippines secured three major nominations in this year's Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards.
The Department of Tourism shared the exciting news in a Facebook post, announcing that the country is a contender for "Most Desirable Country (Worldwide)."
Cebu was also nominated for "Most Desirable Region (Worldwide)," while Palawan got a nod in the "Most Desirable Island (Worldwide)" category.
"These nominations inspire not only us in the Department of Tourism, but also everyone in our country's tourism sector to persist in our mission to share with the world the Philippines' beauty in terms of nature, heritage, and culture, and also the warmth of our people," Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco said in a statement.
"Let us show the world how our love for this country, teeming with natural wonders, a rich culture and heritage, and a people that are always welcoming to guests near and far, will help boost our reputation as a leading destination to love," she added.
How to cast your vote
Wanderlust said it would expect over 200,000 unique votes for this year's awards, and the results would be decided by public vote from its readers.
To support the country in the UK-based Reader Travel Awards, visit its official website and select the Philippines, Cebu, and Palawan in their respective categories.
You can also manually vote for the Philippines in its sub-categories in Most Desirable Country, such as Culture and Heritage, Nature and Wildlife, Adventure, Gastronomy, and Sustainability.

Voting is open until Oct. 27. The ceremony will be held on Nov. 5 at the National Gallery in London.
