No need to fly out: Japan's ABC-Mart is opening in BGC

When you go on trips to Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea, there's one sneaker store you'll find almost everywhere: ABC-Mart. Soon, sneakerheads won't need to book a flight to check out sneakers from the popular shop, as an ABC-Mart branch is opening in Bonifacio Global City.

In its social media pages, BGC announced the arrival of the Japanese retail store in the country. 

"Prepare for a unique retail experience with exclusive releases, immersive zones, and all your favorite brands under one roof," it wrote.

ABC-Mart Philippines' official Facebook page also teased the store's opening with a video reel, saying that it will open in the fall or winter of 2025.

ABC-Mart offers a wide variety of shoe brands from Nike to Adidas, Converse, New Balance, Vans, Puma, Timberland, ASICS, Saucony, FILA, Reebok, Skechers, Salomon, Sperry, and more under one roof.

Two stores will be opening in BGC later in the year: a flagship ABC-Mart Grand Stage at Bonifacio High Street spanning 750 sqm over two floors and a regular ABC-Mart at Mitsukoshi opening in September.

The Grand Stage format offers a premium sneaker and lifestyle shopping experience with exclusive drops, while the regular ABC-Mart is for casual, everyday footwear. Shoppers can also expect a dedicated wellness corner at the flagship store.

BGC shared a look at the Grand Stage branch, which features a bright space with shelves lined with sneakers.
